Services Description
Movien provides moving and relocation services, including but not limited to residential moving, commercial moving, packing services, and storage solutions. The specific services provided will be outlined in the agreement between you and Movien.
Booking and Payments
To book our Services, you must provide accurate and complete information. You agree to pay all fees and charges incurred in connection with your use of our Services at the rates in effect when the charges are incurred. Payment terms will be specified in your agreement with Movien.
Deposit requirements and cancellation policies:
- A non-refundable deposit may be required to secure your moving date.
- Cancellations made less than 72 hours before your scheduled move may incur a cancellation fee.
- Full payment is typically required on or before the day of service, unless otherwise specified in your agreement.
Customer Responsibilities
As a customer, you are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete information regarding your move.
- Ensuring proper access to your origin and destination locations on the day of the move.
- Disclosing any special items or circumstances that may require special handling or equipment.
- Removing or securing items that are not to be moved by our team.
- Being present or having a representative present during the moving process.
Service Limitations
Movien reserves the right to refuse to transport certain items, including but not limited to:
- Hazardous materials (e.g., explosives, flammable materials, chemicals)
- Perishable items (e.g., food, plants)
- Valuable items (e.g., cash, jewelry, important documents)
- Illegal items
It is your responsibility to transport these items yourself if necessary.
Liability and Insurance
Movien's liability for damage or loss is limited as follows:
- Basic liability coverage is included in our service at no additional cost.
- Additional insurance options may be available for purchase.
- Claims for damaged or lost items must be submitted in writing within 7 days of your move.
- Movien is not liable for damage resulting from improper packing by the customer or for pre-existing damage.
- Certain items may have limited liability due to their nature (e.g., antiques, artwork, electronics).
Service Changes and Delays
While Movien strives to provide services as scheduled, circumstances beyond our control may cause delays or require changes to your service. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of any changes or delays. Movien is not liable for delays caused by factors outside our control, including but not limited to weather conditions, road closures, or building access issues.
Termination
Movien reserves the right to refuse or terminate service to any customer who:
- Violates these Terms
- Engages in abusive or threatening behavior toward our staff
- Fails to provide safe and adequate working conditions
- Fails to disclose important information that affects the moving process
Intellectual Property
All content on the Movien website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Movien or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content from our website without our express written permission.
Privacy
Your use of our Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.
Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or our Services shall be resolved through good faith negotiation. If negotiation is unsuccessful, the dispute shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in Alaska, and the arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Alaska, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Changes to Terms
Movien reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website. Your continued use of our Services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
